I was privileged to work with athletes and coaches from the British Olympic Sailing Team to develop an advanced performance analysis system for the sport of sailing.

I applied techniques from a wide range of engineering disciplines to develop and evaluate a method which derived the loadings sailors exert on their boats using pose-capture. During the project I managed a modest budget and was responsible for the design, construction and commissioning of a large pneumatic machinery and associated instrumentation and control systems which were used to validate estimates from the pose capture system.
